Alpha Strike Lance Packs - Genial oder einfach crazy?

Vielen Dank Catalyst. Ihr habt jetzt echt den Vogel abgeschossen! 

Ich stell mir gerade eure Gesichter vor. Was denkt ihr gerade, wenn ihr den ersten Satz lest? "Wieso hab ich die gekauft?" oder "Hätte ich die doch nicht kaufen sollen?"

Keine Panik. Ich bin hellauf begeistert von den beiden Lance Packs. Und mit Verlaub gesagt, bringt Catalyst ihren Partner IWM nun mächtig ins Schwitzen. Die Qualität der beiden Lance Packs schließt nahtlos an die der Grundbox an. Verpackung und Aufmachung sind endlich mal ein Novum für den Battletech Fan, auch wenn dort das Wörtchen Alpha Strike den begeisterten CBT Spieler stört.

Aber das ist nicht schlimm, denn man weißt ja auf die enthaltenen Unit Cards hin. Ihr findet als Unit Cards zwei Grundvarianten je Mech für 3025 / 3039 (neu) und 3050. Zusätzlich werden berühmte Einheiten vorgestellt (hier Mac Leod´s Regiment und die Brigade of Guards), eine kurze Info zur Hauszugehörigkeit per Card gegeben sowie die Aufgabe der Lanzen erklärt. Ebenfalls findet sich in jedem Pack eine Unit Card für einen besonderen Mech und einen besondern Piloten. Okay, ist in Englisch, aber hier zieht sich das nur über eine Karte hin, so daß man mit ein wenig Geduld und Google Translate locker arbeiten kann.

Hat da jemand bei FFG gespickt? Super Verpackung mit "Must have" Inhalt bei den Unit Cards.

Ich persönlich empfinde die Qualität der Mechs als hervorragend. Natürlich ist "Plastik" nicht jedermanns Sache, jedoch ist hier erneut die Qualität des Gusses auf höchstem Niveau. Bei keinem meiner Mechs muß ich nacharbeiten. Wenn das so weiter geht, stelle ich komplett auf Plastik um. Man braucht nur noch seinen Mech gestalten, oder auch nicht und das Basteln entfällt. Super Sache.

Ich stelle mir gerade vor, wie man mit absolutem Minimalaufwand seine Kompanie erstellt. Sobald Recon und Fire Lance da sind, hat man ja je nach Konfiguration eine feine Einheit. Eine Runde Grundierspray und fertig. Rot - Kurita, Grün - Liao, Purple - Marik, Blau - Steiner usw. Richtig, Davion fällt mir gerade nicht ein.

Fazit:

Catalyst ist es erneut gelungen mich zu überzeugen. Dafür gibt es ein fettes "Dankeschön". Preis - Leistung überzeugen mich völlig und ich würde mir wünschen, daß die hohe Qualität gehalten wird.

Auch ein Dank an Ulisses, die sich hier eine Übersetzung sparten und alles im Orginal ließen. Das finde ich viel besser, da ja die Masterunitlist stets die Hauptanlaufstelle für Neueinsteiger ist und so keine großen Irrungen und Wirrungen geschaffen wurden.

Sollte jetzt eure Frau über die Schulter blicken, lächelt sie an und wünscht euch die Lance Packs. Damit macht sie garantiert keinen Fehler. Okay, auch ihr Mechkriegerinnen dürft das gern mit euren Männern machen. Ohne mich zu weit aus dem Fenster zu lehen, behaupte ich, daß hier Catalyst einen echten "Kauftipp" verdient. Weiter so.

Do not panic. I am absolutely thrilled by the two Lance pack. And I may say so, Catalyst brings her partner IWM now a sweat. The quality of the Lance Packs seamlessly from that of the base box. Packaging and presentation are finally a novelty for the Battletech fan, although there the word Alpha Strike the enthusiastic player interferes with CBT.

I personally feel the quality of the mechs as excellent. Of course, "plastic" not for everyone, but here again the quality of the casting at the highest level. None of my mechs I need to reproduce.
