Das Ende der x86er Ära? - The end of the x86?

Vor kurzem schrieb ich ja, das Apple sich von Intel Prozessoren trennen möchte. Dies scheint nicht nur ein Ziel von Apple zu sein. Immer mehr Hersteller würden lieber einen ARM Prozessor verbauen. Die x86er Cpu scheint auf dem absteigenden Ast zu sein. Allein AMD verzeichnet im 3. Quartal einen Umsatzeinbruch von 16 Prozent. Intel schafft es sich durch seine taktisch bessere Ausrichtung zu retten, denn AMD forcierte mehr den Netbookbereich. Dieser steht unter Beschuß der Tablets, für die wir Anwender uns eher entscheiden. Ein Netbook würde ich mir nicht kaufen, wenn ich dafür ein schickes Tablet bekomme.

Durch Windows 8 RT bindet nun auch Software Gigant Microsoft die ARM Cpu´s unter Windows bedeutend besser ein. In Punkto Energiemanagement liegen ARM´s weit vorn und die Leistung ist auch nicht zu verachten. Mittlerweile habe ich auch schon 1,5 Ghz Quadcore ARM Prozessoren entdeckt. Die großen Hersteller Samsung, Apple und Sony ziehen es vor, alle Geräte innerhalb einer Struktur zu verbinden. Tablets, Smartphones, Fernseher, Laptop sowie PC sollen am Besten auf einer Soft- und Hardware aufgesetzt werden.

Apple ist wieder mal ein Vorreiter und scheint auch technisch schon so weit zu sein. Jedoch ist Apple bis 2017 im Notebook und PC Bereich an Intel gebunden. Somit steht die Branche unter Zugzwang und die Urahnen der Cpu Intel und AMD sehen sich einer völlig neuen Marktsituation gegenüber. Wie lang es die klasssichen PC Spieler und Anwender noch gibt, ist nicht vorhersehbar.

Fakt ist eines: Ich mag es auch, wenn ich eine Struktur und ein Betriebsystem an unterschiedlichen Geräten nutzen kann. Gut, das Smartphone und der EBook Reader nutzen Android, während mein PC und das Tablet auf Windows 8 getrimmt sind. Jedoch nutze ich diese beiden häufiger und die Verwendung von Windows 8 paßt da sehr gut. Ich kann schnell die Apps abgleichen, die beiden Endgeräte auch synchronisieren und da ist es echt von Vorteil, wenn alles maßgeschneidert ist.

Bei meinem Smartphone und Ebook Reader / Tablet geht das leider nicht, da beide unterschiedliche Hardware benutzen. Ebenso bleibt die Konsole außen vor. Für mich persönlich stellt nun die Lage so dar, daß Intel und AMD um zu überleben eigene ARM´s auf den Markt bringen müssen bzw mehr Richtung Multimedial gehen sollten. Intel hat ja schon erste Schritte in die Richtung mit Motorola gemacht. Nun fehlt ein richtiger Einstieg bei Windows und Androidtablets, dann sollte der Abstieg des Riesen gebremst werden. Ob AMD schnell die Kurve bekommt, kann ich nicht beurteilen. Nvidias frühe Ausrichtung auf den Tegra haben das Unternehmen definitiv gestärkt. Damit dürfte auch der Grafikkarten Primus für die Zukunft gerüstet sein.

Im Ganzen gesehen macht diese Umschwung Sinn und ich bin echt gespannt, was die Zukunft der Computer und deren Mitstreiter namens Smartphone und Tablet für Überraschungen und Innovationen uns bereit hält.

I can quickly compare the apps, sync the two devices and also because it's really an advantage if everything is tailor made.In my smartphone and Ebook Reader / Tablet goes, unfortunately, since both use different hardware. Likewise console will remain on the sidelines. For me now, the situation is such that Intel and AMD have to get in order to survive their own ARM's on the market or go more towards multimedia should. Intel has already made the first steps in the direction of Motorola. You'll need a real transition to Windows and Androidtablets, then should the descent of the giant to be braked. Whether AMD quickly gets the curve, I can not judge. Nvidia's early focus on the Tegra definitely have strengthened the company. This should also be the graphics card Primus be prepared for the future.On the whole, this makes sense and I'm real turnaround excited about what the future of computers and their supporters called for smartphone and tablet surprises and innovation keeps us ready.
