Huawei Ascent P1 - Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update

Geschafft und schon einen Tag getestet. Da mein Bruder mich ja netter Weise auf das 4.1 Update von Huawei hinwies, hab ich diese nun durchgeführt. Das war recht einfach.

Ihr braucht nur die Datei direkt beim Hersteller downloaden. Danach nehmt ihr eine SD Karte mit 2 GB freien Speicher und erstellt das Verzeichnis dload. Die erste Update App wird dort aufgespielt und über Menü/Einstellungen/Speicher/Softwareaktualisierung geht es los. Drauftippen und Start. Das Sichern der Daten ist ratsam, bringt für das neue Jelly Bean jedoch nichts. Ihr müßt eh alles neu aufspielen. Nach dem ersten Schritt startet das Huawei neu und nun schaltet ihr es aus. SD Karte entnehmen, die 2. Update App aufspielen und wieder per Einstellungen zur Softwareaktualisierung gehen. Bingo! Alles fertig.

Nun startet das Huawei inklusive der Emotion UI Oberfläche in der Version 1.5. Tolles Outfit und leicht zu bedienen. Die Menüs sind selbsterklärend. Man kann echt nicht viel falsch machen. Per Fingerwisch wird auf der Oberfläche umgeblättert und ihr seht die einzelnen installierten Apps. Diese werden nur noch über die Emotion UI angesteuert, nicht mehr über die Menütaste. Super Sache.

Sehr gut gefällt mir auch, daß es nun wieder möglich ist sein Hintergrundbild zu fixieren. (einstellbar, wenn ihr ein neues Hintergrundbild wählt) Die Grundausstattung von 4.1 ist prima und paßt zu mir. Viele zusätzliche Apps entfallen und die werksseitig aufgespielten und nie genutzten Apps sind weg. Einziger Wehrmutstropfen: Raptide GP ist natürlich auch fort.

Alles erscheint in übersichtlicher Optik, sieht ansprechend aus und ich kann alle Apps nutzen, die ich bisher aufgespielt hatte. Okay, die durfte ich neu installieren, aber es paßt. Sehr gut empfinde ich die Sammelordner. Dies sind der Werkzeug-, Google-, Verwaltung- und Sozialordner. Sehr leicht lassen sich diese ergänzen und es arbeitet sich prima mit diesen. Apps starten tatsächlich schneller. Vom Gefühl her behaupte ich, daß der Akku schneller leer wird oder es liegt halt wieder an der überdurchschnittlichen Spielerei nach dem Upgrade.

Fazit:  Der vermeintliche Billiganbieter schreibt Kundenservice groß. Mit diesem Update und der Emotion UI gelingt es Huawei den Käufer zu beeindrucken. Ich persönlich habe nicht mit einer Upgrademöglichkeit gerechnet. Somit kann ich mit vollem Spaßfaktor mein Ascent P 1 weiter nutzen ohne neidisch auf die neuen Smartphones zu schauen. Danke. Samsung macht es vor und Huawei tut sein Bestes seine Kunden zu halten. Ich bin weiterhin zufrieden. Ein Tipp an Samsung und Besitzer anderer Hersteller: Prüft mal die Updateliste im Netz. Vielleicht könnt ihr auch auf 4.1 oder sogar auf 4.2 updaten.

Managed and already tested one day. Since my brother me yes a nice way to update from 4.1 Huawei pointed out, I've now done this. That was pretty easy.


You need only download the file directly from the manufacturer. Then you take an SD card with 2 GB of memory and creates the directory dload. The first update app will be playing there and menu / settings / storage / software update it starts. Tap on it and start. Data backup is advisable to bring the new Jelly Bean but nothing. You must always play everything. After the first step, the Huawei rebooted and now it turns it off. SD card found, the 2nd Play update via Settings app and go back to the software update. Bingo! All done.
Now starts the Huawei Emotion UI, including the surface in version 1.5. Great outfit and easy to use. The menus are self-explanatory. You can not go wrong really. By finger swipe to move through to the surface and you see each of your installed apps. These are controlled only via the UI emotion, no longer on the menu. Great thing.
Very good I also like that it is now possible again to fix his background image. (Adjustable, if you choose a new background image) The basic equipment of 4.1 is fine and suits me. Many additional apps accounts and the factory-played and never used apps are gone. The only downer: Raptide GP is of course also continue.
Everything appears in a clear appearance, looks appealing and I can use all the apps that I had previously uploaded. Okay, I was able to install the new, but it fits. Very good I feel the collection folder. These are the tools, Google, Management and Social folder. Very easy to make this supplement and it works its fine with this. Apps actually run faster. From the feeling I claim that the battery faster or is it stop again at the above-average gimmick after the upgrade.


Conclusion: The perceived cost provider writes great customer service. With this update, the emotion and UI is able to impress the buyer Huawei. I personally did not expect an upgrade option. So I can with full fun my Ascent P1 further use without enviously looking at the new smartphones. Thank you. Samsung makes it before and Huawei is doing his best to keep his customers. I am still satisfied. A tip to Samsung and other manufacturers owners: Checks times the update list on the web. Perhaps you may want to update to 4.1 or even 4.2.
