Der Admiral - Krieg im Pazifik

Soeben ging mein abendlicher Film zu Ende. "Der Admiral - Krieg im Pazifik" erzählt die Tragödie des 2. Weltkrieges recht beeindruckend. Autobiographisch wird Admiral Yamamoto über diese unsägliche Zeit begleitet und man erhält einen Einblick über seine Einstellungen zum Krieg. Das er eigentlich keinen Krieg mit Amerika wollte und sehr empört über einen Angriff war, der noch vor einer offiziellen Kriegserklärung statt fand, ist hinlänglich bekannt. Pflicht und Ehre jedoch trugen ihn auf die Befehle durchzuführen. Regisseur Izuru Narushima gelingt es historische Fakten in Einklang mit dem Gefühl von Pflich und Ehre Yamamotos darzustellen.

Es ist ein sehr imposanter Film für jeden, den der historische Hintergrund interessiert. Es ist kein heroisches Werk, kein Actionfeuerwerk, aber durchaus sehenswert. Man wird zum Nachdenken angeregt und insgeheim hofft man irgendwie auf ein gutes Ende. Doch dieses bleibt bekanntlich aus und durch den Tod Yamamotos lösen sich auch alle Hoffnungen auf einen vorzeitigen Frieden auf.

Wie gesagt, ist es ein gelungener Film. Derzeit noch leihbar bei Maxdome und durchaus sehenswert!

Just my nightly movie ended. "The Admiral - War in the Pacific" tells the tragedy of the 2nd World War quite impressive. Autobiographical Admiral Yamamoto is accompanied on this unbearable time and gives an insight into his attitudes to war. He actually wanted a war with America and was very upset about an attack that took place before a formal declaration of war instead, is well known. Duty and honor, however, carried him to carry out the commands. Director Izuru Narushima succeeds historical facts consistent with the sense of honor duties and Yamamoto show.



It is a very impressive film for anyone interested in the historical background. There is no heroic work, no action fireworks, but well worth seeing. It is thought provoking and somehow secretly hoped for a happy ending. But this is well known, and by the death of Yamamoto's also dissolve any hope of an early peace.

As I said, it's a well made movie. Renting still at maxdome and well worth seeing!
