Huawei Ascend P1 - Test

Tja, ich rufe 2012 einfach zum Jahr des Handys aus. Das 3. Handy in einem Jahr. Das ist mir noch nie passiert. Nein, kaputt war keines, nur hatte ich jedes Mal Lust auf ein Neues. Nun hoffe ich, daß ich einmal für einen längeren Zeitraum ein Smartphone behalte.

Bevor ich mit meinem Bericht starte sind hier die Eckdaten des Huawei Smartphones:

Als ich das Huawei Ascend P 1 das erste Mal in den Händen hielt, war ich erstaunt, wie leicht es ist und wie gut es in der Hand liegt.  Die Einschübe sind selbst erklärend und der Simkarten Slot ist sehr gelungen. Okay, ein paar längere Fingernägel sind hilfreich beim Einrasten der Karten, aber es geht. Da man kein Gehäuse aufmachen muß, ist der Simkartenwechsel unkompliziert. Das Gleiche gilt für die SD Karte.

Negativ finde ich, daß der Akku fest verbaut ist. Doch wer hat schon sein Handy bis zum Ende der Akkuhaltbarkeit? Kaum einer. Also stelle ich mir einfach vor, daß ich ein 4,3 Zoll Tablett habe. Da kann ich den Akku auch nicht wechseln.

Nach dem Anschalten startet das Huawei "normal zügig", wie man es bisher von allen Smartphones gewohnt ist. Unter "Einstellungen" ist jedoch die Option "Schnellstart" versteckt. Damit wird das Smartphone in den Ruhezustand geschickt und nicht komplett herunter gefahren. Beachtet aber, daß ihr da Strom verbraucht.

Der Displayfarben sind sehr kräftig und kontrastreich. Apps werden zügig geladen und alles wirkt sehr "schön" auf den Bediener. Die Touchtastatur läßt sich sehr gut bedienen und man erhält ä oder ö durch ein kurz längeres Drücken der a bzw o Taste. Diese Lösung gefällt mir sehr gut. Okay, der AMOLED Schirm mit Gorilla Glas peppt alles noch mehr auf und garantiert ein kratzfreies Displayleben.

Alle gewohnten Apps funktionieren hier 1 a und ich kann auch wieder meine PC Welt und Android Welt App installieren. Das Huawei Android ist flexibler, als zum Beispiel Lenovo bei dem es doch viele Einschränkungen gibt. Lesen, schreiben, Sprachsteuerung und Entsperrung per Gesichtserkennung.

Das Internet läßt sich prima nutzen und das Huawei bietet sogar die Nutzung vollwertiger Webseiten an. Andere Hersteller unterdrücken dies und leiten einen gleich zur mobilen Variante um(Vorteil: Seiten wie gewohnt - Nachteil: höherer Datenverbrauch). Dank der guten Tastatur kommt man beim Tippen unter Facebook und Co. nicht ins Schleudern. YouTube paßt ebenfalls und die Verbindung zum WLAN läßt zu Hause keine Wünsche nach einem PC oder Tablet offen.


Seine wahren Stärken offenbart das Huawei bei grafikanspruchsvolleren Spielen. Racing Thunder II läuft flüssig und der Lagesensor reagiert präzise. Ein grafisches Highlight ist das bereits installierte Spiel Riptide GP. Dort werden Rennjetskis bewegt. Die Dual Core Cpu und die Grafik Cpu lassen da ein wenig PC Gefühle aufkommen. Nicht schlecht für ein Smartphone.

Kommen wir nun zu der üblichen Schwachstelle der chinesischen Hersteller: Die Kamera. Im Normalmodus gelingen sehr ordentliche Fotos und der LED Blitz schafft es auch vernünftige Fotos in dunkleren Räumen hin zu bekommen. Doch wie üblich wird bei der Zoomnutzung die Fotoqualität sehr geschwächt. Da ist es leider auch uninteresant, ob ihr HD Auflösung macht oder nicht. Also ein Minuspunkt.

Videos gelingen dank der 8 Megapixel gut. Das Mikro könnte ein klein wenig lauter aufnehmen, aber es geht. Für HD-Videos unbedingt eine 32 GB Karte einfügen, sonst ist euer Speicher recht schnell voll.

Huawei hat sich bei der Ausstattung interner Apps dieses Mal echt Mühe gegeben und vor allem gleich das richtige drauf gepackt. Man findet die Security App, Sicherungs App, Taschenlampe (per LED), Notizen, talk, Wetter, News, Musik und Video Tools sowie alle gängigen Google Apps. Ebenso sind Informations Tools (Cpu Auslastung und Trafficmanager) gleich an Bord. Ich finde, daß hier eine gelungene Grundausstattung vorhanden ist.

Ganz kommt das Huawei an die Brachenriesen Samsung und Apple im Bereich der Oberklasse nicht heran. Seine Schwächen zeigt es im Bereich der Kamera und dem fest verbauten Akku. Die verbaute Hardware ist jedoch top. Ohne eine externe SD Karte habt ihr etwa 2,3 GB frei. Trotzdem solltet ihr dem Smartphone mehr Speicher verpassen. Auf jeden Fall sägen die Chinesen am Thron der 2 Giganten und lassen nebenbei HTC, Sony, LG und Nokia echt alt aussehen.

Der Preis ist geht in Ordnung. Die weiße Variante erhaltet ihr mittlerweile ab 299,00 Euro und das schwarze Ascend P 1 startet bei 349,00 Euro. Als Geheimtipp in Sachen Preis erweist sich auch hier Rebuy.de . Dort bekommt ihr ein gebrauchtes P 1 schwarz ab 259,00 Euro (höchstens 2 Monate alt und 1 Jahr Garantie). Meines habe ich von dort. Die Systemlaufzeit betrug bei Kauf 3 Stunden. Ergo neu!

Wer in die Oberklasse günstig und mit einem Topp Smartphone einsteigen möchte, der ist mit dem Huawei Ascend P 1 bestens bedient. Nichts erinnert an das günstig billige Konkurrenzprodukt, das Huawei bisher darstellte. Abzüglich der Kameramängel ist den Chinesen ein toller Wurf gelungen und sie schaffen den Einstieg in die Oberklasse. Und das mit wehenden Fahnen! Topp.

When I Huawei Ascend P 1 for the first time in his hands, I was amazed at how easy it is and how good it is in the hand. The slots are self-explanatory and the sim cards slot is very well done. Negative, I find that the battery is firmly installed. So who his cell phone until the end of the battery life? Hardly one. So I imagine just that I have a 4.3 inch tablet. Since I can not even change the battery.

The screen colors are very strong and contrasting. Apps load quickly and everything seemed very "nice" to the operator. His true strengths that Huawei revealed in graphic demanding games. Racing Thunder II runs smoothly and the position sensor responds accurately.
