Battletech bei (on) Facebook

Halelulija! Ich wußte gar nicht, wie viele Leute hier in Old Germany noch bei Battletech aktiv sind. Bisher dachte ich immer, daß es immer weniger Fans werden. Auch der Altersdurchschnitt erschien mir doch recht hoch. So over 40. Doch weit gefehlt. Offensichtlich gelingt es den alten Fans auch noch junge Spieler und Leser zu aktivieren. Das finde ich echt cool. Okay, auch so manch ein Autor ist mittlerweile jünger als ich. Solang der aber gut schreibt, interessiert mich das herzlich wenig.

Bisher war ich nur bei einer Gruppe in Facebook aktiv. Classic Battletech! Am 14. November gründete sich die Gruppe Battletech Deutschland, die sich aus unterschiedlichen Spielen aus ganz Deutschland zusammen setzt. Mehrere Forengruppen, Kampfgemeinschafte und Fanprojekte haben nun beschlossen sich auf Facebook unter einer gemeinsamen Seite zu etablieren. Das finde ich super.

Dort wird alles rund um Battletech gelebt: Tabeltops, Computerspiele, Online Games, Romane und Basteln. Ein riesiges Themenfeld, bei dem man sich erst einmal einlesen muß. Aber es macht einen heiden Spaß, wenn man Fan ist.

Schon vorher startete Battlemänchen Spieler (29.09.12). Dorthin verschlug es mich erst am Freitag auf Einladung eines Mitgliedes von Battletech Deutschland. Dort geht es mehr um das Spielen. So ist zumindest mein erster Eindruck. Da kann ich ja nicht viel beitragen, da ich doch eher der Romanleser bin. Aber auch diese Gruppe ist verdammt cool und interessant.

Negativ: Bei beiden Gruppen fielen mir pinke Battlemechs auf! Neuerdings auch im Tidewater Pandorium! Was ist da los? Sind alle auf Solaris oder im Selbstfindungstripp? lol. (Tarnfarbe gibt es gratis in jedem Wartungshangar!)

So, dies war mal eine Info zu den Battletech Aktivitäten. Wie schon gesagt: Als alter Fan finde ich es absolut toll und spannend, wie sich die Battletech Gemeinde wieder etabliert. Nun hoffe ich, daß auch Ullisses Games endlich agiert und mehr auf den Battletech Fan eingeht. Nur sporadische Aktivitäten und das Herausbringen einzelner Bücher und Artikel um den Lizengeber bei Laune zu halten, sind nicht gerade geschäftsfördend. Erhöht Schalgzahl und Quali! Dann sind wir euch hoffnungslos verfallen.

Halelulija! I did not know how many people here are still active in Old Germany in Battletech. I always thought that there are fewer and fewer fans. Also, the average age seemed quite high. I think that's great.There everything is lived around Battletech Tabeltops, computer games, online games, novels, and tinkering. A huge range of topics, in which one has to read first. But it makes a hell of fun, if you're a fan.Already started Battlemänchen player (29.09.12). I moved there only on Friday at the invitation of a member of Battletech Germany. There is more about the games. So, at least my first impression. Since I can not help much since I'm more of a reader of novels yet. But this group is pretty cool and interesting.Negatives: For both groups, I noticed pink Battlemechs! Recently, the Tidewater Pandorium! What's going on? Are all on Solaris or in self-discovery trip together? lol. (Camouflage is it free in every maintenance hangar!)So, this was once a about the Battletech activities. As I said: As an old fan, I find it absolutely amazing and interesting to see how the Battletech community re-established. Now I hope that also acts Ullisses games and finally responding better to the Battletech fan. Keep only sporadic activity and bringing out individual books and articles about the Licensors are in a good mood, not just geschäftsfördend. More power and quality!
