Android Sicherheitslücke USSD - Problem größer als geglaubt (security leak ussd)

Heute war ich wieder bei Android Welt. Dort habe ich gelesen, daß das Problem mit dem USSD Leck größer ist, als bisher vermutet. Laut Android Welt sind Smartphones mit den Versionen 2.1 bis 4.0 betroffen. Das beschränkt sich nicht nur auf Samsung, wie es bisher vermutet wurde. Bisher sind fast alle Hersteller bis System 4.0 betroffen. In 4.1 ist Lücke geschlossen. Welcher Hersteller überhaupt ein Update schickt, ist fraglich. Für mein Simvalley XP 120 gibt es derzeit kein Update.

Für alle, die kein Update bekommen, gibt es 3 nützliche Apps, die USSD blocken. Avira USSD, TelDelStop und AutoResetBlocker. Ich persönlich habe mir Avira USSD installiert. Es funktioniert definitiv. Statt der IMEI und der Wähltastatur wird nun *#06# angezeigt. Also save. Auto Reset Blocker geht auch und bei TelDel Stop muß man etwas genauer hinschauen. Dort wird alles manuell geregelt, während die anderen 2 Apps automatisch arbeiten.

Solange euer Smartphonehersteller kein Update schickt, sichert euch mit den genannten Apps ab, damit keiner eure Sim lahm legen kann oder euer Smartphone fernsteuert. Kostet nix und funktioniert.
